When you sign up for direct deposit, you can expect your benefit to be deposited to your account within 30 to 60 days. The Social Security Administration will send you a letter telling you when to expect your benefit to be in your bank account.

Afterwards, your monthly check will deposited according to a Schedule of Payments.
