Can Social Security tell me the status of my request for review?
You can contact your local social security office or your local hearing office, or call the Social Security Administration’s Division of Congressional and Public Inquires staff (1-703-605-8000) or the Social Security Administration’s general inquiries staff at the Social Security Administration’s toll-free number (1-800-772-1213) to obtain the status of your case. They will check the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review case control system and inform you of the status. In the future, the Social Security Administration plans to provide Internet access to case control data, but only after all security and privacy concerns have been addressed.
