A "consent by Lessor" is a legal document where the landlord of leased premises gives his or her consent to the tenant regarding certain actions covered by the lease. For example, an assignment of the lease by the tenant often must be consented to by the landlord under a "Consent by Lessor" lease provision. Similarly, the landlord can consent to a sublease through a "Consent by Lessor" document.
