How can I get the names of officers and directors of a company?
Most public companies list their officers and directors on their Web sites, usually in a section called "About" the company. Companies are required to list their officers and directors in their annual proxy statement, which is usually available on the company’s Web site under "investor relations."
You can also find a company’s proxy statement at www.sec.gov. Click on Search for Company Filings. Next, click on Companies and Other Filers. Type in the company’s name or ticker symbol, then click on the company’s name. Finally, look for the company’s latest definitive proxy statement, labeled Form DEF 14A.
Many investment-oriented Web sites also provide snapshots of public companies that include officers and directors.
